Digital Delay that Can Take High Gain (solved)

    Not helping this thread devolve into "what's your fav delay", I recommend the HardWire DL-8 as it's spanking clean and has internal voltage doubling for higher headroom.

    I have had delays that did not sound good post-dirt. The Boss DD-20 was particularly disappointing. Repeats were hairy and fizzy. And, no, I was not overdriving the input. It just couldn't faithfully process the complex waveform accurately. Switching to a Strymon TimeLine resolved the problem flawlessly.

    If anyone else is curious I am running high gain into a Chase Bliss Mood and it takes it like a champ.

    Ss/Bs mini > Kingsley page > Constable on breakup > mood.
