    Hey,

Has anyone been able to compare the Digitech GNX3000 vs. the new RP500 modeler? I had a GNX and liked the features, flexibility and some of the sounds, but I wonder if the RP sounds markedly different/better?

    Anyone?

    Thanks!

I'd go for the GNX3000 over the RP500 for the warp mode alone, and it is far superior as a recording interface to a PC and the intelligent harmonizer is better.

The RP500 has more basic amp models available but the warp mode of the GNX3K gives you virtually unlimited models.

I have both. IvIark is right - if you want warp or better recording, go with the GNX3000. But the RP500 is much simpler to use and has slightly fewer, but better effects. The Lexicon reverbs are particularly nice in it.
