My invite to buy Fractal's FX-8 is in. So I'm doing the... "current board vs fractal" inner debate.
My current board is a Disaster DPC-5, wah, compressor, Mobius, 2 ODs, Distortion, Muff, boost, delay, reverb, AB box as well as a tube preamp / Torpedo CAB for ampless setups.
Obviously FX-8 could replace most of those. Anyone got experience with Fractal's ODs and distortions though? I've spent a lot of time and money finding the right drives that I like for my rig...and other stuff and I just don't know if it's worth the risk.
Also, would I need to keep my amp / cab simulation?
I'm open to any thoughts.... just don't know what to do. I dig Fractal and the space saving, etc... but don't know if it's worth the expenditure, etc...
