I have a BTO Taylor I got in 2011. It was a case queen up until last night.

One thing I love about my Taylor, the case they give you is built like a tank. It's also the reason I now have a ding in the top near the binding the size of a pencil eraser.... The lid is pretty heavy, and it slammed down on the guitar as I was taking it out of the case. My mistake, but it was not a good moment.

Is there any way to fix the ding? It's chipped part of the clear finish and is very visible. I'd go so far as to ship the guitar off to have it repaired if there is someone in the US known for doing acoustic guitar finish repairs. Does Taylor offer repairs?

    Thanks in advance!

Yes, I'd ship it to them unless you have a trustworthy tech.

    Taylor is an amazing company.

I emailed them once with a question about my guitar. I had just sent off the email and was walking out of the room to go grab something to eat, and the phone rang. It was a Taylor tech calling me back about my email.

    30 second response time.
