Saw Mascis, Barlow et al. touring in support of this album a month or so ago. Killer show. Still deaf, and I had earplugs in. Definitely a "senior scenester" audience, but these days, every show I go to is like that. Wonder why that is... :)

I saw them with Mike Johnson way back. They are such a rockin band. J is just great. He looks funny as hell now. He plays drums some cuts of my favorite CDs eva Mark Lanegan's Whiskey for the Holy Ghost.

That's a lot of sound. I thought he had a HiWatt head also?

Listening sounds great. I need to buy this.

I saw them in 93 and they were pretty good. I haven't heard anything about them in years.

Well I guess I'll have to check it out and see what all the fuss is about.

"Whiskey" is a phenomenal album. It's a monthly listen for me. Did you hear lanegan's duet album with Isobel Cambell (I think)? Really a lovely album as well.

I am also a fan from the beginning. Maybe try revisiting it again sometime. I think it is their best since Green Mind (even though Green Mind is pretty much a J Mascis album).

Either way, Dinosaur is still one of my all time favs.
