I got home from work and was surprised to see a package from G&L. I had ordered a ASAT Classic Custom about 2 weeks ago and wasn't expecting it to arrive so soon. Here are some obligatory glamor shots.:phones

Yes, it looks, feels and sounds great. I'm really liking the gun oil tinted neck and the fret detail is on par with most custom luthier guitars. Really a very nice piece of work from the G&L factory. Set up was perfect for me right out of the box. No fretbuzz whatsoever. The Plek machine G&L is using seems to work very well.

I had a Bluesboy that I traded away while I was in a delusional state. I missed the Bluesboy so much that I decided to get another G&L. I can honestly say that I have yet to play a G&L that I didn't like. I can't say that about some of the other larger manufacturers.

Very, very nice, drove by the G&L factory on the way home from work today. I've been meaning to go to one of their open houses, but I keep missing them.

G&L's are SO niiiiice. One day I'll buy one, but I keep putting it off. Everytime I play one I kick myself that I don't just take the plunge.

    XKnight -

ASAT Classic. . . one of the best. Burst with black guard and maple neck. . . another one of the bests.

    Enjoy!

May I ask how much a guitar like that sells for? And did you order it directly from the company?

That's a great looking guitar - that fret dressing is pretty impressive...

    Congrats,

The ASAT Classic Custom normally sell in the $1300-$1500 range depending on options. However, they can be found for substantially less. I ordered mine from http://www.thatnewsound.com/ . This is the second G&L I bought from them and I got great deals and excellent service both times.

How do the open houses work? Does G&L offer factory tours to the public? I can't seem to find any info on their website.
