A comparison clip of my dirtboxes, played on a MIM Tele with a SD Hotstack, and the Fender Dual Showman Reverb on a Bogner OS212 left and Fender Pro Reverb right.
The Fenders were at the lowest volume possible because I have a hangover.

    Excellent post :dude

I've been looking for a high gain pedal to go with my '70 Bandmaster and you may have just sold me on an EMMA.

    Thanks Jan :BEER

    Really cool job ! :dude

Your amp sounds great too , is it modded or do you use a particular preamptube?

    Thanks.

No mods on the amp, the Pro still has its original preamp tubes, the DSR has EH's.

    Nice clips! Are you Swedish?
Here is my opinion. I think the BB pre is a clear versatile pedal winner: why? In the high gain setting you can easily hear the natural eq of Doc Evil Fenders, no mid hump and no bass cut that the OCD has. The harmonic blend and eq controls on the BB are superior on the high gain setting and had the best definition. THe BB pre is truly amazing. The OCD sounded the best on these clips OVERALL second only the to the LTD Why would say that? Simply Fenders EQ lacks mids and is bass heavy caps, the OCD and LTD add mids, cut bass flatten the Fender EQ adding some classic coloring. I am not saying the BB pre sounded horrible on the Fenders, but it would really shine on a boogie, soldano, marshall, peavey, a bruno, stepheson, heritage amp. I have to say the Lemon sounded only like an effect that you could use for 1 second on a bridge or something and the reeza sounded terrible. If using the reeza for a fuzz pedal type pedal it is cool for an effect otherwise, please!

Swedish? From my accent? :D I'm Flemish.

Mid hump and bass cut from the OCD? I think you mean the opposite : it's very bass heavy and scooped.
I did get the Lemon for really dirty lines here and there, but I really like it as a lead on the blues thing.
The Emma's my fave higain pedal so far, and I've been through a couple of'm.

So, I basically disagree with most you said, but thanks for listening and the thorough response.

Nice clips. I thought the Reeza kicked A$$! I'd love to hear it compared with other lively big gain pedals... MIaudio Tube Zone(gain past 2:30) and DNA Gain****er to name two.

I was also unimpressed with this particular Reeza clip - but I have the pedal and it is THE BEST high gain pedal I have ever heard or played through. Just goes to show that clips (good or bad) don't tell the whole story. All I know is that I'm glad I didn't hear this before I picked up my Emma in the emporium.

Overall though, this was an awesome comparison clip - thanks for taking the time to put that together!

The higher the gain is, the worse the compression / lossiness is in the MP3...
If you have the space, try encoding at 192kbps or higher and reposting... the Reeza deserves it!
