I have a Fargen Olde 800. Normally I use a boost, but am craving some higher gain, fuzzy sounds. Do fuzzes work with this style amp, or is that too much gain and mush waiting to happen?

I used a Fulltone Soulbender for a while with a 2204. It worked pretty good. I'd say most dirt and fuzzes can sound pretty good with it depending on how things are set up. I've tried quite a few pedals as a lead boost for mine and and I could live with most of them.

my 2203 takes pedals very well. some fuzz's that I felt were voiced too dark for my other amps sound fantastic through the 800.

A sybil into my 2210 worked in all configs well. ge or si and in series. Depending on where you like the gain of the amp with the pedal off will determine the best mix of Gain/fuzz vs volume to push it.
One day w/the amp volume UP, we got a very specific GRIND in the speakers from some BOGypsies/Hendrix in Sweden tracks. Tweak those sounds!
