I'm gonna have to agree with this...would the Flashback ever trump the Timeline in terms of being "best"? Probably not...they're completely different types of delay pedals. Comparing the Flashback against the DD5/DD7 and similar pedals would make more sense/be more helpful...

I don't necessarily think you have to separate categories since there's 10 options - you could I guess but yeah, I don't think it's necessary. Although maybe a dedicated "super delay" poll/thread might be a good idea. Although I think it's pretty obvious the Timeline will most likely kill any other option. Lol.

The timeline kills the aqua puss. But the aqua puss is the best pedal for slapback imo. Some may just use delay for slapback and vote aqua puss. I would vote timeline because it is the better pedal, but I still love and own an ap. It is a difficult.

well flashback is digital, carbon copy is analog.

Looping is a whole nother category.

Well, putting aside real tape delays both vintage and modern...the best analog delay "pedal" (and I use that loosely 'cause the thing is huge) is the older blue SIB Echodrive. Can't get 'em anymore though. Among contemporary delay pedals the best ones I've heard from a pure tone perspective are the Wamplers-- both the faux Analog and the faux Tape Delay -- they might night have all the bells and whistles of a modern digital delay, but they just sound freaking great.

I thought we were talking about delays...not loopers. Yeah they're a bonus on some, but I don't think they make a big enough difference to put them in a separate category. Again, I just think in a poll like this, from what I've seen before, the Timeline will just trump everything and nothing is gained out of the poll. I might be wrong though!

Just my take, but regardless of what you put in the poll, you'll get a dozen "should have included _____" replies and the end result of the poll will be a "which do you own" result, not necessarily which is best.

Just what is popular and even trendy. In a couple years ALL these pedals will be replaced by promises of even better GAS.
