I tinted the p/u covers & knobs and replaced the ****** single 8 hole pickguard with a 3 ply 11. The neck p/u is a Alnico II Pro:dude

With aged white covers and knobs and a parchment pickguard loaded with Chubtone reverse stagger pickups.

Boil a small saucepan water, add 5-6 tea bags (that lipton **** is great) let the bags sit for 5 minutes or so. Put the parts in the water when it's still hot (barely finger touch temp) and in about 10 minutes your done.

Only works on genuine fender parts. On the aftermarket, nada. Zip. Zero. Left my Rio Grande covers in tea overnite. Zip. Zero.

Fender...no problem. Must be a different make up.

Okay, of all the Fender cults, the JV one should make sense to just about anyone. Find a nice one, and hot rod the electronics, pickguards, whatever... Personally, I've played a few these, and I like the pickups! If I didn't have my strat shaped soulmate, I'd own a nice one of these in a heartbeat...
