one thing i noticed with my Tele is that even with gain the n3 neck pickup retains its clarity and i find myself doing a lot of distorted rhythm playing on the neck rather than the bridge.... I don't really like the n3 bridge pickup, im getting it swapped out with a Seymour Duncan Little 59 soon. Supposedly this PU makes a Tele sound a lot closer to a Les Paul, which is good for me (maybe not so for traditionalists)
whereas my ES-335 the neck seymour duncan 59 is a little bit too muddy with gain unless im just playing power chord stoner fuzz metal or w/e. The bridge 57 classic gets most of the rhythm work.
