Hi, I've played for a long time, but never thought much about what type of pick I was using, as long as it was medium, and had some sort of grip to it, I've been using Dunlops but would like to hear what you guys like to use, and would recommend?

    Thanks.

I will divulge this closely held information but only because this forum has a no flaming policy: I like Blue Chip picks.

V-picks for me too. They stay in your hand, not on the floor.

I like Cool picks. The ones with that sandy feeling spot under your thumb. I like Heavy's but use Medium's at gigs so that I don't break strings.

I tried lots of brands and finally found "the one" for me.....Clayton Black Ravens.

I use a 1mm, which has a sort of "medium heavy" feel to me, so the .80 would probably feel right to you.

They have a feel that's hard to describe. Never slick, so they're easy to hold onto, and they last forever (plus, I'm very careful with my picks and rarely ever lose one)

Every one I've given to someone to try....I never get it back!

And....the price is right. You can buy a dozen of a couple of sizes to find the one that's right for you without mortgaging the house or the kids going hungry for a week!!

    $.02

Dunlop Gator 2mm - I use the rounded corner mostly but go to the point for heavy emphasis stuff...
