sounds right to me. Although it's not a tone I've ever gone 'questing' for.
The reverb/delay sounds bang on.
Sounds good for a Pod.
Sounds pretty darn close to me...a touch off, but really good.
Sounds too scooped for me.
Seriously??!?? That's as close as I've EVER heard. Did you hear how the guitar cleaned up on the verses. Don't believe a POD can do that. If it can, I'll buy one TODAY.
Does the spidervalve have this patch or something??
it is a pod xt live.
i thought i could trick some people here.
it proves if you spend some time with something you can get good tones.
lot of people get a pod and then dismiss it because they suck at working with it, but it's all a matter of how you set it up.
That clip from the Pod is actually closer than 99.9% of all the EVH tone chasing clips that are floating around everywhere.
Did you tweak the reverb/delay or is that already set up as a patch?
This is so funny you posted this. I was listening to that clip yesterday from over on the metro forum. I would have never suspected a pod but I didn't think it sounded like Ed's tone yet does sound pretty good. IMO Ralle over there gets the best VH tones of anyone ever. Listen to his library of stuff....
You could never acheive that sound from a pod. That I would guarantee
Scott Peterson used a Pod XT Live with a Roland Cube 60 as his rig for a while. I believe he said it's all in the tweaking, and you're not going dial in the tone you want overnight - takes a bit of work, IIRC.
So did you place your order?
****, that sounds better than the brown sound.
the mids sound off, but all in all a good sound ,
Not bad. I credit the Destroyer more than the POD.
So would you say that the Pod reacts differently to different guitars? Many say that any guitar you use sounds the same through the Pod.
Spend less time tweaking, more time playing and developing your own sound.
