Do you use a pedal when playing acoustic?

Absolutely.

I use pedals--auto wah, OD, octave, delay. Why limit yourself to the plinky amplified tone of an acoustic?

Mine goes through my Nova System that I use as an A/B.
Right output for acoustic direct to the board and left for electric guitar to my amp.
For acoustic I use EQ and reverb always on, delay and boost or compressor sometimes.

I've been through a number of different pedals with my acoustic: reverb, tuner, boost, Aura... and always come back to the simplicity of a good DI/preamp.
FWIW, the best I've found for functionality and tone in my set up is the Radial PZ Deluxe (the LR Baggs PADI is quite nice as well).

Whenever I'm able to use my dad's amazing Breedlove for my solo gigs, I go: Guitar>Boss TU-2>BBE Sonic Stomp>Boss RC-50>Radial JDI to Mixer

(sometimes I use the bypass out from the Boss TU-2 into the other input of the RC-50 to give it interesting tones)

I usually use a Zoom A3 for subtle EQ, delay and chorus. Tuner included. It'll go straight to the board, or to a Roland AC3 then to the board.

A Radial PZ Pre. has mute, all kinds of eq and a boost for solos. Probably one of the best preamps made for the $.
