Not specifically, but when you add in a little of the parallel distortion it rounds off some of the edges.

Yes! I certainly appreciate his presence here! More companies should have a friendly, knowledgeable person communicating directly with musicians & enthusiasts on forums like this.

Really pumped for this. I'll be getting it along with the Meatbox.

Tom I hope you know how happy you've made me the last few years. The bass whammy was a dream come true. Now about that SpaceStation...

Can the ring mod be adjusted slow enough to deliver tremelo?

It can't, I chose a frequency sweep that made it more flexible than the original, but didn't stray too far from expected behavior.

See that's just what they'd expect you to say. Is there no element of surprise in modern sonic warfare?

Man, man, I have to spend more money now. I don't think I can escape this one...

Mr. DigiTechRep, what is the cost of this pedal? Thank you in advance.

Oh man. And I wasn't going to buy any more pedals for a while. So much for that . . .

    Tom, you are the man.

I actually bought an original Gonkulator a few months back. Pretty cheap, near mint condition with a box collecting dust next to a an Ibanez Soundtank Trashmetal.
Didnt't knew it had a trimmer controlling the frequency. Maybe it will sound useful now:p

btw DigiTechRep, I can there is no chorus pedal in the DOD lineup atm. May I suggest a re-issue of the the FX68: Super Stereo Chorus. Probably my favourite chorus pedal of all time.
Are the old dirt pedals like the Grind and Big Pig distortion any good?

The original doesn't. The internal trimmer on the original controls the null, not the sweep.

    We'll see...

Many of the distortions from that period were re-voiced versions of the FX69 Grunge. It has been a while since I looked at the Big Pig schematic but I think it is just a lower-gain version of the Grunge. The Big Pig was a Musician's Friend exclusive, not many were made.

Thanks, I won't open up the pedal then. Have no idea how to use a ringmod, yet.

Looking forward to the next dod pedal! Really interesting when you dig up an old treasure from the past and mix it with some modern day ideas.

There really isn't a right way to use a ring mod, but by that logic, there really isn't a wrong way to use one either...
