1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

I’m looking to buy a Landgraff Dynamic Overdrive, used if possible (wait time right now is 6-8 weeks) and I understand that they are tweaked for singles or humbuckers. Has anyone found that their Landgraff DO favored one pickup over another? In other words, have people experienced the LDO as less than spectacular with a unit made for humbuckers and you used singles?

Well as you said He tweeks them to the player, I had mine tweeked for singles so he put in a little more mids and bottom I believe.......

If you buy a used one ask if it was tweeked for anything other than standard...

What if you use both types regularly?

It works just as well with either, that's why you have tone controls.

Or flip the switch from up to down, or down to up as necessary :)

    right , all true -----
but the part he tweeks is the overall tone content, that isnt really changable with the external controls....... with the tone kit you can change some of the socketed parts and get those tweeks yourself.....

Right. So, basically, a "used" buyer wants the tone kit.

    Yes. tone kit good :D

You could also call him,,,, I dont know what records he keeps on each one ,,,, but Im sure for a price he might check it and tune it up for you to what you want -- he might even be able to have you return it to stock over the phone by reading the parts to him...... no quality builder really wants unhappy customers.....

I just told John I use a little of everything and build it like that, which is probably his stock build.
