I'd like a LP Jr. style guitar (slab body with tummy cut) with 2 volume and 2 tone controls, nice chunky neck, short scale, all mahogany with rosewood board and humbuckers.

I know Gibson just relased a version of the LP Jr. with buckers but I dont want the baked maple board or the slim 60's neck. I could live with the neck but I really dont want the baked maple board.

So does anybody know of a builder who makes something like this?

90's LP Special, except for the tummy cut.

    The P-100's are humbucking.

I have found a few of those but the condition varies greatly. I was wondering if anybody esle was currently building one?

The 90's Specials also have very thin necks. Gibson made some humbucker equipped Specials in the 2000's (Special SL w/ 490/498 pickups). These again had 60's necks but also had a tummy cut.

I did this sorta-LP junior style guitar a while back. It would be easy to make one to your specs, and with the original body dimensions if wanted.

    I saw one a few years ago. It's called a 290 HB.

You could call Chuck Thornton, too. He'll build you whatever you want!

    You betcha!!!
You can get a 290 with Lollar full size hummers, Firebirds, minihums, as well as TV Jones filtertron style pickups.
I saw a Collings at a dealer a few days ago that had Throwbacks in it. Not sure if the dealer installed them, or if Collings is now offering Throwbacks as an option.
Just email Collings customer service, & they'll get back to you in a few days.
