I've had the 44 model for ten years and love it.

I switched last year to a Winia for the music room--it is a viable alternative.

I have one and its a good unit. I haven't had to use it once since i moved from my old apt to house since humidity level in house tends to get high. I actually bought some dehumidifiers which help to keep humidity levels down to 50-55% especially during season when not running central ac.

My old apt used to get very dry and the venta sonic in my bedroom really helped a-lot. Way better then other cheaper humidiers i'd used.

One recommendation would be get some humidity meters to put if different rooms to get idea on humidity levels. You don't want to over humidify.
