Does anyone know the name of the tremelo stabilizer that was out a while ago?

The flat "l-shaped" unit that you could put under the back of the trem to hold it flush with the body while performing string changes, etc?

    TIA, Scott

    HI OTM:

    Thanks for chiming in.

It definately had some sort of name like that - I even vaguely remember the little quarter-page ad in GP that ran for a while, but can seem to find it.

I am actually trying to help a friend who owns a music store and who has a good repair business there, locate the item to assist in the repairs/setups of trem-equiped guitars.

Anyone know of what we speak, and even better, where I could find one?

    Thanks,

    Scott

Tremsetter? Tremol-No? Something like that? Try Google (no, seriously).

Why not just get a piece of hardwood, poplar is probably perfect as it has some give to it, and shave it into a trapezoid? Then you just remove the backplate, shove the wedge in behind the block, and change out your strings.

The tremel-no is a device developed and pattened by a member here and several other boards

    Hi all,

I tried searching a bunch (honestly!) with no luck, which is why I asked here.

As far as the Tremel-no; unfortunately, that won't work, because again, this is for a friend who is a repair man. He would be using the piece for other peoples' guitars, not his own.

The "trap wedge" idea may be the way to go if he can't locate this device.

    Thanks anyways...

Do a search on Harmony Central. I saw something there last week that I believe is what you're looking for and the site where to purchase them.
