    What your experience/thoughts?

What about copper tape vs. paint. Any tonal differences; is one better than the other with regard to tone/high-end loss?

And last, what about using pickguard shields only vs. shilelding the whol cavity?

Some builders prefer one over the other, I doubt anyone has compared with the same guitar...still, thought I'de throw it out there and see who bites.

I'll play......I ain't skeered......well not much anyway. My MIA strat had what appeared to be shielding paint in the cavities and the basic stock foil shield on the pg. I used copper foil (sheets) and a copper pg shield from Monte. In addition, I rewired with RS and Deaf Eddie pots, switches, caps, and wiring along with star grounding. Also, installed Lollar BFs at the same time. Prolly to many changes for a direct comparo of foil vs paint......but the tone is really sweet now and the hum is greatly reduced (not completely gone, but way less than before).

This falls into the 'show me' category.
Show me a meter that can measure the difference in capacitance and then show me a guitar, 2 I guess, to demonstrate the difference.
