Does The Colts demise vindicate Peyton Manning, or does it make it even worse.....that the team that beat him then gets blown out? In general, is it better psychologically if the team that beats you gets beat, or that they go on and win it all?

Colts forgot how to catch, the throws were there. If you can't catch it, it doesn't matter who is throwing it.

Colts made the right move moving on. Denver made the right move picking up Peyton. Peyton ran out of gas at the end of this year, Colts just aren't there... yet.

Correct me if I'm wrong...since Luck has been aboard.

2 years ago the Colts lost in the Wild Card Round.
Last year the Colts lost in the Divisional Round.
This year they lost in the Conference Championship.

Heck of a demise!! If the rise of Abraham Lincoln is of any relevance, and it is given Luck's ridiculous beard, they should be winning the Super Bowl next year.

Although Luck sucked last night I think it was a good move for the Colts!

Sorry, I should have written "demise in the game against the Patriots", not demise as a franchise! Thanks for the correction!

Or does Peyton's demise vindicate the Colts?

    It's a paradox.

QBs are not responsible for run defense, so I'm gonna answer with a "NO".

Colts can't stop the run whenever they play the Pats so it doesn't matter if its Luck or Manning on the team.

...a loss in a conference championship does not constitute a demise...yeah it was a lopsided beatdown but oftentimes playoff losses don't really accurately portray a teams overall quality....as far as Peyton and Andrew go....they're both in a good spot right now...they have quality teams that are going to the playoffs regularly with chances to make things happen....its great for them and their fans...plenty of other qb's in the league that would love to be in their shoes...

Absolutely because you know ... it really sucks when you have a coach who in four seasons goes 46 and 18, wins the division every year, and only gets to the Super Bowl once.

He should have been fired after the Super Bowl last year. That was the worst coaching performance I have ever seen in my life ... until the loss to the Colts on the 11th.

When a coach cannot prepare a team with two weeks to face an opponent, he is not getting the job done. If he and his staff make no halftime adjustments, then he is not getting his job done.

When the GM has to come down to the locker room TWICE during the course of the season to instill passion and desire in a lackluster, unmotivated team, then the coach is not getting the job done. If a team doesn't go down "kicking and screaming" and individuals seem to give no effort, then the coach is not getting the job done.

When the coach lets it leak to the media on the morning of a Divisional playoff game that if the team loses and he gets fired, that he's available to interview for open positions, then the coach is not getting the job done.

When a team sends 11 players to the Pro Bowl, yet can't make it out of the first round of the playoffs, then the coach is not getting the job done.

I wish you and your team lots of luck and success going forward. I'm sure they'll win the Superbowl next year ... or maybe not.
