Does the Line 6 DL-4 still hold up?

I think it’s a fair question because it’s 20 years old now. I just love the simplicity and the looper is cool.

Yes, it does and plenty of pros are still using them (Frisell being a notable user), despite all the fancier stuff out there now. I have a lot of the fancier stuff out there, but the Line 6 still sounds really good and I think has held up remarkably well, considering how much technology has advanced since that giant ugly green box first hit the scene. The box is clunky and the switches perhaps not the best, but the sounds and functionality is great.

Yep! After 15 years of failing to reclaim board space with a DD5, DD7, TC Nova Delay, Ibanez DE7, Earthquaker Avalanche Run ... it’s always stayed on the board.

I now have a Walrus Mako D1 to see if it’ll work. A couple rehearsals in, I’m optimistic. :)
