    It's like this:
I've gone through all the threads about delays, from EH Memory Man +H, to TC Nova Delay, the MXR Carbon copy, Boss DD20, T Rex Replica, Line 6 DL4 etc etc.

I just want a decent delay, with true bypass and tap, that works well in an FX loop.
Preferably one without major reliability issues.

    Is there such a thing?

Possibly the best out of those I named, but I'm sure it changes the tone a bit even when off.
The Nova also sounded good, but a friend warned me off on reliability grounds.
    So I'm stuck...

I had a Freakshow Digilog that I thought was pretty special. I want another one. I don't know what makes me sell my sh** all the time. I guess I'm just always looking for the next best thing not realizing I have it already.

man... it really doesn't get better than the replica if you ask me. changes your tone? MAYBE a LITTLE, but you're ear is better than mine if it truly bothers you.

    Evantide TimeFactor.

Had this confusion a month ago between TC Electronic Nova Delay, Replica and The TimeFactor.
The TimeFactor even they all sounded great.

Echotap is pretty good. the T-Rex is great..maybe you should look in to running your delay out of your FX Loop and just put it in front of your amp. If tons of great manufactured delays don't seem to cut it with your rig.. Maybe you should look at other things in the rig to change.

The clips I have heard have not borne that out. Anyone have "real" clips?

I use a DD20 but out of that group I'm also voting Replica. I have used/tried one and from what I remember I convinced I thought it did not color the sound at all.

Why would you stop using the Nova just because a friend said something about reliability?? I had a Nova it worked great and sounded great.. I got rid of it because of several reasons one being that i didn't need tap tempo or all those features.

Why would you get rid of a good sounding delay just because you didn't need all it's features?

I haven't bought anything yet, I spent a few days lugging my amp around South Yorkshire and annoying lots of retailers.

    Nowhere had a Timefactor.
All delays sounded like crap in front of the amp (I use a lot of overdriven sounds).
    Everything Boss sounded sterile.
Maybe it's my wallet complaining about the T Rex!
And maybe it's just me. I was also after some sort of modulation pedal, and the Choral Flange was raved about, but I didn't like it.
So currently no FX at all, just me, guitar, amp, and toooonnnneeee...

Doesn't make sense. So you sell the good one, lose money and buy the cheaper one? Which cheaper one sounds as good?

Aren't you the one who blasted the jackson dreamweaver in another thread and ignored me when I asked you if you've ever played through one?
