I haven't tried any source other than guitar, but I've heard the aux sound quality isn't great...YMMV...

Works fine for me, but I've never blown money on an expensive stereo for desktop or bookshelf use. So maybe I'm not the opinion you're looking for. :dunno

I thought it did pretty well. Depending on what your comparing it to. It's better then most small built-in speakers. I use the auxilary input all the time when learning new music for my band and makes a decent background music player at work.

The THR amps do not sound good as a speaker for music listening.

I am used to desktop speakers with a subwoofer for deep strong bass sound. THR won't do that. For general use it is ok.

Depends on the music... I don't think the THR does well with heavy super compressed music but sounds surprisingly good with something like SRV Little Wing...

Not so much at home, as I have bigger speakers. It is perfect in the trailer, and out and about. I had an Amplifi 150 before, and it was too bulky to carry along. I can bring along a guitar, and also have decent sounding music. Our trailer is over 10 years old and only has a cheesy car stereo for entertainment...........we only go out 2 or 3 times a year if that, so it's still in almost new shape.
