Is there a digital delay out there (preferably warm, clean and somewhat basic/neutral sounding) that not only has adjustable modulation/vibrato on the repeats, but also has a good "reverse" control/setting? It seems like these features are rarely featured together in a single unit. . .

The DL-4 is a good call and clear choice, but I've been burned too many times with switch issues. I've been through 3 at this point (2 of which had professionally upgraded switches) that still would occasionally go random on me while playing.

Does anybody have an opinion on the TC Nova Delay?

DD20, unless you're wanting mod applied to different settings

Is the modulation fully adjustable on the Boss?

Yes it is. Check out the manual. I believe it involves the holding down the pedal and/or the time knob. It's been a few years since I owned one.

Also check out the nemesis delay pedal from source audio. Coming out later this year and has everything you are looking for right on the pedal.

You can adjust the speed and depth. The delay time knob can be pushed and held down and display will change to the mod settings. Can't remember from there, but it's pretty simple.

The reverse on the TF/H9 is extremely good.

Every time I meet someone who actually likes the DL-4 it boggles my mind. I owned one for a few years and I always had a meh relationship with it.

You can add modulation to the reverse delay. Excellent pedal easy to find under 200 bucks these days

Yep. The timefactor and h9 are great for what the OP wants.

    TC Electronic Nova Repeater.

Discontinued but amazing delay pedal, with all the features you mention.

The Nova Delay never gets described as warm sounding IME
Depending on what you need when, and what you describe as adjustable, the TonePrint concept in the TC Flachback/Alter Ego might be appropriate to suggest.
