Hi all,

Here's what I am looking for, does this exist?
  • Made in the USA (I realize imports can be great and are at a big discount)
  • New (I realize I can buy used at a big discount, but I am looking for new)
  • Set neck or neck-through
  • 24.75" scale length
  • Mahogany body and mahogany neck
  • HB in bridge -- 2 HB is OK
  • German-made Floyd Rose
  • $1,000 or less
This is like an SG with a Floyd Rose.

The closest I have gotten so far is a Kiesel CT324 for about $1,300 once I add locking nut ($30), yellow paint ($30) and Rosewood fingerboard ($30) as options. The Kiesel is 25" scale length which isn't quite what I am looking for but might be close enough.

Any suggestions?

No. Not any of the "known" brands, as far as I know. You might check out Acacia Guitars and see what they could do for you.

Made in USA new to custom spec for less than a grand? No. If you spec'd out the body and neck with a US parts supplier and put the whole guitar together yourself, you might get it for less than a grand.

If you shop around, you might find one of the Gibson SG Diablos with a Floyd. I think they were only made in 2012, but it's not entirely unheard of for music shop to occasionally still carry new instruments from several years ago. The shop I get my amps worked on still has a brand new Fender Pawn Shop '51 that is dated 2011. Never been owned, rarely played, sits all the way in the back of the shop. It's possible you could find a Diablo Floyd that way.

That's my thought. You're going to be close to $1k for the parts for such a beast before assembly begins. That short scale length is really rare. If I wanted the described guitar, I'd be thinking Warmth (or similar) and have a budget of $1k for me to assemble the guitar myself: $500 for painted body and neck, $200 for Floyd and misc hardware, $250 for electronics, off the top of my head. (I didn't check these, so maybe with some shopping I can get down to $800 or so?)

A German-made (Schaller) Floyd Rose is nearly $300 right there... I don't see how anyone could provide the rest of the guitar you want for $700 and make a decent profit... The Godin Redline 3 would be your best bet, but I'm pretty sure that's a Korean-made Floyd Rose on that guitar...

I bought my Carvin ST300 for under 1k, but that was 4 years ago. I guess their prices have gone up a little bit. But I ordered mine just after Christmas, and got some sort of credit towards some options, so I was able to get a Floyd, stainless frets, and abalone inlays and it was still just under a grand. Shipping tipped it over that but I wasn't necessarily trying to hold to a firm budget.

I love the guitar, FWIW. I did end up swapping out the bridge pickup though.

Kiesel DC127 gets real close ... I added paint ($30), rosewood fingerboard ($30) and stainless frets ($40). Shipping is $29 to get it to $1,188.

I confirmed they use a German-made Schaller Floyd.
