Does anyone here know anything about Grosh serial numbers? Are they sequential? Is there any type of model code or such?

Why don't you contact Don directly and get an accurate answer?

They are sequential, except for Set Necks which have their own numbers ( About 75 so far). He also built about 150 Electrotone's (Discontinued) which had their own numbers. Everything is else is sequential. He is around to 1700 on Retro's, Bent Top's, Carve Top's etc.... 13 years of building.

I did yesterday, along with some other questions. I just got impatient and thought I'd ask here; and lo and behold Long2Play had the answer! Mine is #634 which is 1999.

Just bought the prototype of Don's new NOS VT. Honestly, it is incredible - best Tele I have played apart from an original '52 Blackguard Tele that stole my heart just over a year ago. This one is close enough:

Hmmm... I *think* my Electrajet is #2643 or something. Did the Electrajets have a different S/N sequence?

EDIT: Just checked - my Electrajet is #2413

Not to derail, but I've always lusted after the Sunset '79. Hmmm.... maybe I should see if there is one out there......
