I just got my baby back from a refret. I had been putting it off for years. I'm an idiot. It plays 100 times better.... and it played amazing before the refret. This guitar was built in 1977 by a luthier here in Florida. It just so happens I ended up with it and the man who built it is still taking care of it for me. The refret is perfect. That's flamed Eucalyptus not maple on the top and back. Maybe the only Koala caster in the world! All vintage parts, the pickups are from 1959 (Strat p'up) is a '77. The bridge pickup needs a re-wind so I have a custom shop Fender in there now. Those knobs are from a 1949 Fender Lap Steel. Its a custom Franken Tele and I wouldn't trade her for nuthin. Please post your double bound teles, or tele inspired axes, I would love to see what's out there.
