Photog extraordinaire and "secret agent" Thomas Hesselbarth stole into Nik Huber's shop and captured THIS:

Rumours have it that this double whammy is heading *your* way, guys (i.e. in the USA).
More unconfirmed rumours have it landing at Willcutt's in time for X-mas presents.
    Bwaaaaah!
Life is unfair... I just never seem to learn to accept it.

    That is ridiculous!

Quite a thick body - is that a hollowbody without f-holes type of deal?

    Hehe...why ridiculous?

Anyway...yes it features a hollow body (otherwise there would be a tummy cut) - but I don't know if it's korina or mahogany...
I shall attempt to ask Da Man himself and see if/what he says :)

    Spoke to Da Man.
Guitar is gonna be *ridiculously beautiful* - but I'm gonna keep you guys waiting for pics for some more days.
So the specs see a *full solidbody* (correcting my previous statement - sorry) with a mahogany center and front and back out of the same curly maple. Double stained in Atlantic Blue. The fretboard is an unreal wild rosewood without any fret markers at all, with flamed maple binding. Headstock is going to have a flame maple overlay (IIRC - I had seen pics some time ago) which will obviously colour matched to the top. Maple pickup rings, of course (blingle bells, blingle bells, blingle all the way...).

Apparently will be ready very soon... I just wonder who's the lucky soul who's gonna end up buying this absolutely killer piece.
I only know it's not me  bwaaaaah-waaaah!!!

    Just scoped the Willcutt site...
Our friend is on a roll... He's got a Cherryburst quilt Dolphin AND a Redwood hollow/chambered Dolphin too  ...

He's definitely making some kind of tall statement there...!

    Oooooooo!

The back is possibly even more amazing than the top. Kind of a shame, but then you can think to yourself that it's really beautiful maple caressing your nether regions...

    Great guitar.
