SIBLY features what is in my opinion THE best gtr solo ever recorded and Dougs recent Page clippage inspired me to create this full version of that classic track . I had a backtrack with drums and organ / bass and Ive added the entire necessary guitar parts. It took a few go`s as I was endeavouring to capture that elastic looseness Jimmy Page displays in his playing. If you heard me sing youll fully understand why i havent added vocals, ive included gtr embellishments to hopefully compensate for where vocal lines are not present.

I hope you enjoy this , I had a blast in recording it with my R9 and pod 2.0.

cheers doug, when i play that song i try to imagine my strings are elastic bands and i try to stay as loose as page did so naturally, i think hendrix and page both had this innate quality to sound loose no matter what they played. i appreciate the reply dude.

no prob, us JP fans are all about the tone and feel.
I think the drugs played a major roll in both their styles,
and also the eara. Life was more simple back then.
I try to put myslef there when I play, but without
    the drugs.:)

I agree about the best solo ever recorded- well, one of the best anyway, there's also the live version of No Quarter, and of course Dazed and Confused. You're getting a sweet tone. :AOK You mentioned something about the organ part, I don't know if you were talking about this BT or not but I didn't hear one in there. Got BT?

When I try to play Pagey stuff I like to imagine I'm 50 lbs. lighter, my hair is long and my legs from the knees down are hidden in a fogbank!:D

    Fantastic! I enjoyed your take.

I was just noodling on this tune earlier today.
Definitely one of my favorite dark blues tunes!

Could you PLEASE post the backing track for the rest of us.

    Thanks in advance.

Sounds great man!!! JP is why I decided to pickup and play guitar in the first place. You sound great on that. I somehow have a pretty good loose feel when I play Zeppelin stuff, because I always wanted to be Page from when I started playing. Great track!

As someone else posted and I am about to echo, Jimmy Page is probably the biggest influence that I have ever had and inspired me to pick up a guitar and try to be as versatile as possible on the instrument. Thank you for doing SIBLY justice and reminding me of just how great some of Pagey's work really was.
