I've been using John Pearse phosphor-bronze for over 15 years. I periodically try other brands but have always gone back to JP. I recently bought a high end acoustic and the builder recommended DR Rare Phosphor-Bronze so I tried them. I was hesitant because I've tried DR strings in the past and never liked them at all - until now. The DR Rare PB are WARM, detailed and articulate! I really like them a lot. I've read they don't last very long but so far they sound really, really nice! Are there any other converts out there? :aok

I've used them for years on my dreadnoughts. Love the rich sound, and I don't find them dying any sooner than any other non-coated string.
Haven't had a chance to compare them to D'Addario EJ16's, but I suspect the DR's are a bit warmer...
