I love the tones on this clip, can anyone who has played one let me know how loud it has to be to get this level of overdrive? It doesn't sound like it's too loud on the clip.

    Any other comments appreciate.

Sounds good, but I could never afford to
pay the 15 dudes it takes to kneel down
and tweak it while I play.

Check some of the clips at Z-Talk. http://drzamplifiers.proboards41.com/index.cgi?board=soundfiles

Much better rep of what the amp can do. IMO

Mine had to be pretty loud to give up the goods on the 'lead' channel. Matching that volume with the tweed/clean side made the two channels really similar and I couldn't get those nice tweedy in-between tones.

great amp to be sure but I couldn't get a happy medium between the two channels volume-wise.

Yeah. OK. Another amp and guitar video. I would rather talk about the pretty girl, in the pink top, with brown hair, and soft shoulders. Are you guys dead or something?

Why do people go weedle-weedle-wank like that to demo an amp? There should be a rule: every amp demo should start with the intro chords to "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" so we can hear what the thing sounds like.

Maybe you should start a thread about something you're interested in, this way you don't have to make worthless posts about something that others are interested in. :AOK

I've seen several of the clips from the Z fest...who is the guy demo'ing these amps...same guy in each clip. They don't really show what the amp is capable of, just full volume wanking...and all the amps tend to sound the same based on those licks/wanking and volume. I guess Brad Paisley was too busy to do a demo and show the really capabilities of the Z tone machines, eh ?

    all...imho.....

Seriously. Look how many people it took to plug in the frekin' cable before he started playing. Wow.

Sorry I can't help you with your question ,but just wanted to say , I saw/heard that you tube clip about 2-3 months ago , and totally loved the tone.. That's 'my kind' of sound for certain styles I play. I think the guy played great and it's a great demo.. I have my 'own' view regarding amp demos or amp clips.. Meanwhile, sorry didn't help you at all ,but also LOVE the tones on that one

That clip had much of what I hear from Dr. Z amps. Turn it up and you get an nice overdriven sound that stays together, but even at volume the amp has a "Stiff" quality to it.

The tone doesn't really work for me, but I can see how it could fit well with the right player and environment.
