    Dr. Z friends...

    A few quick questions...

Is the Dr. Z Maz 18 Jr. NR amp's effects loop serial or parallel?

Analog vs. digital pedals in the loop?

I'm having a helluva time getting digital effects to work (Strymon Flint, TC Triple Delay) in the loop. Some won't power up or the tone goes to poo.

Note: I'm running a T1M mini-buffer at the front end of the loop. I've also tried an Empress Buffer Plus (but it's big).

The loop seems to like analog pedals fine. I really want a nice reverb though.

    Much thanks for your help.

    Note: I love My Maz.

Note: my current signal path in the loop is...

T1M mini-buffer > Empress ParaEQ > Diamond Halo Chorus > Diamond Vibrato > Malekko Dark Echo analog delay > Strymon Flint

I'm running premium Lava instrument cables (Clear Connect and Ultramific).

If I power up the Flint, things go crazy (worried about frying the Flint).

If I disconnect the Flint, the loop works although the Diamond Vibrato sounds buzzy outside of "Jazz" mode.

Don't know about the series or parallel question, but I have both an analog pedal and a couple of digital pedals in the loop of my Maz 18 Jr. w/ reverb, and I don't have issues with any of them. Have you tried emailing Dr. Z with your questions?

I did and thanks. I have a few ideas to try. I'll update the thread thereafter.

Note: Dr. Z did indicate that the loop is a series loop.

Pretty sure it's series. So the whole signal basically runs through the loop.
