I heard that Dr. Z is going to start making a combo version of the Mini Z that has the 10" speaker instead of the 8" speaker. Any idea what the dimensions of this will be? I'm just wondering if I could be cheap and fit it in the same roadcase one of my amps used to use, or if I'd need to buy a new one.

Any of you interested in one of these with a 10" speaker instead of the 8" one?

The Monza does look pretty sweet. If I thought I'd ever be able to turn it up as loud as he gets it in that video, I'd be all over one haha. Sometimes having a quiet band sucks. :(

I'd rather have the 8'' combo and have an 4/8/16 output tranformer to plug into other cabinets.

Does the current Z combo defeat the internal speaker when you hook up an external speaker, or does it run both of them? If it runs them both, I could see where that would be beneficial, but I'd still rather pair a 10" with a 12" speaker than an 8" with a 12"

8'' speakers are for breakup only as far as guitar. Harp players like them too.

Does Dr Z just make a head ? I have a modded epiphone valve junior and would never think of playing into an 8" speaker !

In that video the guy posted to above (great clip by the way, great style of playing) the guy demoing the monza shows that it has an attenuator built into it

True. I forgot about that when making my response. I don't have any experience with Dr. Z's attenuators though. They're supposed to be pretty highly regarded, right?

They're pretty awesome. The Ultimate Attenuator is also very highly regarded.

Thanks for the advice. I'll have to keep that amp in mind then.

Haven't used one, but I believe they're $150-200. The price is on the Z site under "pricing."

Saw one go for $120 shipped in the emporium here.
