I was told the SRZ-65 was based on the JCM 800, and honestly Youtube at this point hasn't really told me much when it comes to the difference between the two amps, though I'll blame that on the fact that they're videos and may not represent what you'll hear when played in person.

Anyone played these two amps? What's the difference in your opinion.

I owned a Silver Jubilee for almost 20 years.
Played the LTD srz 65 and was amazed at how ice picky that amp was.
Couldn't change it with tubes or different speakers and cabs.
    Totally different amps IMO.

I owned an old SRZ that was really a monster in terms of tone. I didn't experience any "ice pick" sound. That amp is one of a handful that I wish I never sold.

Owned a SRZ for a while. Sold it because It was way way too bright. Ice picky indeed. Tried it on both a 2x12 cab loaded with greenbacks and a 65 amps cab loaded with blue/G12. I never could make that amp sound good, and it doesen`t compare to a jcm 800 at all IMO.
