Even cooler is that I got to hold a guitar that was not too long ago in the hands of the Rev.
That's a great top. I assume it's a double stain, but it almost looks like Mother of Bowling Ball. :AOK
I saw this guitar back in 2004 when I was at Joe's shop.
one of my Driskills #88 with my PRS PS and JS SC prototype #1
All braz neck, tiger eye guitars
It was so great finally getting to meet you in person!! Thanks so much for stopping by. Thanks for the pictures too. I never seem to have time to take any so that was nice of you. I've got so much going on right now. Lots of metal stuff so that means that a lot of guitars are going to be getting ready to spray now. I have some of the truss rods almost ready. That picture is of the rods themselves. I have them all threaded. I also have the blocks done and the ends almost done. They should be going to the welder this weekend. Loved the Mexican food. In fact, it was so good, that I went there again later that day! My girlfriend wanted to go so I said yes. Never can have too much Mexican food! Thanks again and it was so Great seeing you and Kiefer.
Thanks everyone for the nice comments! I really appreciate it! The shop is getting back to rolling now. Most stuff from the fire is back like it should be. I should have some cool stuff coming up really soon. 3 leaving next week. Thanks.
great pics.... nice guitars thanks for sharing
All hail Joe Driskill!!! Love mine to death!!!!
Joe, I would like to make my Diablo lighter. Is it possible to replace the brass trem block with alloy aluminum or perhaps replace the entire trem? How long would it take you to supply this?
What's the scoop with Driskill these days?
Last post in this thread in 2008.
His web site doesn't appear to have any updates since 2010.
W-O-W! Some real Driskell love going on here, thanks for the tour! Some real lovely guitars coming out of that shop. . .
Joe's a nice guy. Hope all is well.
I still have this one:
My thought as well when I saw this post. I don't ever seem to read/hear anything of new Diablo's.
I'll always recall my visit to the Diablo warehouse many years ago, pre-fire, and also our fun the night out when Joe was in No. VA while working with attorney on his copyrights. Keep up the good work, Joe!
My god! Might be the most beautiful guitar I've ever seen.
I have had this beauty since 2006 and I could not see ever turning loose of it.

Joe is working hard as always, all you have to do is call him. His work is on another level, I have 3... They have been gigged every weaken since 2003. My number 1's. also, one of the best human beings on the planet.
Love my 2. Joe's guitars sing with overtones & harmonics! Great band guitar as they really cut thru the mix.
Are they as heavy as I have heard? Damn....I'd love to own one!
My old one, the koa one in the photo @NeuroLogic posted, seemed to be around 9 pounds if memory serves.
Joe is a great guy, and he builds a fine instrument.
