Drum Riser Futon

    I want to get my kids drum set off the floor and I thought of using an open maple Futon frame that has sidies like a couch. Put a couple sheets of plywood across the platform. Do you think it will be steady enough?:rimshot

    unless he/she palys like Keith Moon you should be ok

    i would pre drill and use sheet rock screws to fasten the plywood to the futon tho

    and make sure all futon screws are tight

    Keith practicly played while he was running in place ;)

    The bed has those big locked bolts on 4 corners I may throw something under the center for support

    maybe carpet the plywood as well to prevent slippage

    Yea its a left over from another son who has left the nest
