I notice the pickup covers have been put back on. I wonder if maybe the pickups have been replaced. Also, it's been refinished twice.

Not that that matters to anyone who is going to buy the guitar. Min bid = $1,000,000

I wonder what took so long.

The owners were very generous about making it available to be played.

    1.5 - 3 mil estimate with a 1 mil reserve.

Likely a certain nfl owner will be panting.

I remember seeing Jack Pearson in Macon a few years back where he played either this or the '59 on loan from The Big House. An armed security guard stood in front of the stage. I also recall Jack doing a fake drop of the guitar, and there was an audible gasp from the crowd. Laughter ensued.

Rushed to auction. Quite simply trying to capitalize on Irsay’s elevated stock portfolio.

Feels a lot like 2007 to me.

It has been played by Kirk Hamlet, apparently.

Don't forget when Duane Traded that guitar off for the burst, the pickups went into the Burst Guitar.

I'm guessing out of Bonamassa's price range.

However, it wouldn't surprise me to see someone with deep pockets buy it then lend it to Joe to record with.

Hell, asking that kind of money, they should at least put up some high resolution pics of the thing

I'm going to be that guy - I think the guitar will not hit the minimum and will go unsold. Too much is different. refinished twice - not the original pickups - and Allman obviously liked a different guitar and sold this one (sans pickups).

Regarding this guitar, the contrarian opinion would be that it will sell.

I’m not sure many, if any, would disagree with you.
