Duesenberg are releasing an amp. Haven't seen any mention of it on TGP. Looks excellent, and if it's up to the quality of their guitars it should sound excellent too.

I couldn't care less where it's made as long as the quality is good.

Not to criticize an amp I haven't heard - hopefully it's great - but I don't know how far you can get with one clean channel plus one cascading-gain lead channel using just two 12AX7 preamp tubes, unless they're not mentioning something. Most phase-inverters require a full 12AX7 unto themselves, and that doesn't leave enough to get the rest of the job done on just one preamp tube, unless it's some form of stacked clean/gain channel, rather than actually "dual channels". Even so, not a lot of preamp-tube gain stages going on.

That looks pretty freaking awesome though. I play their guitars, and there aren't may better.

    Only 2 AX7's is a bit odd.

45 watt amp >50 watt speaker(an expensive 50 watt speaker at that)? Doesn't compute.

A lot of design aspects to this just don't make much sense. For these two preset gain stages are there stacked diodes to make up for the lack of ax7's?

Yeah - that aged look comes across like a chunk of chocolate dropped on last week's sidewalk: shunned by passersby and dogs alike. :bonk

    "Handwired in Germany."

...So they make them in Korea and plug the power cord in when it gets to the Duesenberg warehouse and call it handwired in Germany?

Honestly. Thats just an insane price whether its made in the US, UK or anywhere else.

Edit:Is that price for the head and cab? Or just head?

"What you see is the result of long months of work and Duesenberg engineering. The frame of this amp is made from wood which we then painted with a thin layer of metal particles. The metal coat is then processed and aged by hand, giving it the distinctive rusty patina which makes each build completely unique. "

:spit who comes up with this stuff? And I did not bold anything. it's like that on the blog.
