I have a Duesenberg Double Cat. Same pickups. I've found it to be quite fond of just about everything I've played it through. You mentioned Fender, and mine loves Fender too. I'd suggest trying something Vox-ish. Mine loves Dr. Zs. My Duesenberg also loves my Fuchs, especially the neck p90 on the clean channel.

AC-15, Matchless Spitfire (or Ceriatone clone :AOK) I really liked it with a Tiny Terror also.

I think every amp with decent treble is allright with the Starplayer TV.

    I´ve played it with

    Matchless DC-30
    Fender Custom Vibrolux Reverb
    Fender Vibrolux Reverb ´76
Blackface Bassman w / quite bright jensens.
    Groove Tubes Soul-O 45

All of the above have been quite allright, but clearly the worst match was the GT combo. It just lacks the sparkle the guitar has, and the result was just muddy and unmusical. The guitar likes treble, IHMO.

I've got the Duesy Starplayer TV+ and I agree it sounds best with amps that push mids and top end. My British voiced amps all seem to work well with it including my AC30 and UG30 especially for OD tones. For cleans, I think its safe to say any amp with a good clean will sound great with the Duesy, especially with some sparkle to it.

Last Sunday at my Church gig, my buddy played rhythm using the Duesy and ran it through a Bogner Alchemist running 6L6 and it sounded great. Incredibly think and full sounding. Worked great for the rhythm stuff he was playing.
