It’s a great BOC tune, but….

(Are you ready to rock?) Yes, I am
(Are you ready to rock?) Ah, yeah
(Who will rock with you?) I know now
(Who will rock with you?) I see somebody
(Who will rock with you?) somebody like you
(Who will rock with you?) yeah
Well, I'm ready, hear me again, now
(Ready to rock)
Well, I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready
(Ready to rock)
Well, r-r-r-ready, ready, ready, ready, yeah
(Ready to rock)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, oh, yeah
(Ready to rock)
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, ready, are you
(Ready to rock)
Yeah, yeah, yeah
(Ready to rock)

For Those About To Rock

Makes me ask "What is rocking?" is it listening to rock music? If so why would you salute someone who is coming to listen to you play rock? Nobody says "For those about to Classical/Jazz/Bluegrass/Country", so what is unique about rock music that means you have to sing about rocking?

Here's a nice ballad, like the six thousand others.
It's a love song again, it'll probably get covered.

No, the drums don't come in yet, that's in three bars time.
It's just me and the piano, and this sweet lullaby.

"Rock" used to be the substitute word for the F word. Now is it all clearer?
