Duncan Alnico 2 Pro dating?

I've got a guy locally offering me a trade involving a set of Duncan Alnico 2 Pro humbuckers. Upon mentioning them he stated that they were NOT reissues. I'm not terribly familiar with this particular SD model. Can someone shed some light on what he's getting at?

There's no such thing as a reissue A2Pro. They used to have long legs, maple spacers, and single conductor cables. Now they have modern short legs, plastic spacer and 4-conductor cables.

When we came out with the Slash model, we used the long legs, maple spacer, and single conductor to pay homage to the pickups that were in the Appetite for Destruction Les Paul, but that's about it. The Slash model's wind and wire are different
