Dweezil and Matt put on a master-class in tone sculpting at Axe-Fest. Here's what I managed to capture.

[sarcasm]Ain't it too bad that digital technology just tries to copy what's already been done? When is a modeler manufacturer gonna come up with something that can make some new sounds?[/sarcasm]

Thanks for the video. Dweezil can come up with some incredible tones.

Will there be a part II to this?

This was really cool, but damn, the background conversations. People in a tiny room with Dweezil Freakin Zappa and they have to talk over what he's saying like they have something better going on? If I hadn't had a family commitment my butt would have been on a train to Boston that weekend.

Interesting... he broke it trying to recreate Frank’s old sounds he got with his analog rig.

I think that's bleed-through from other rooms. It was an amp show, where companies tend to book adjacent rooms.

Oh! I thought this was a discreet event. Shame that you could hear folks talking through the walls.

I was there in (Boston/Waltham). I left almost immediately. Ridiculous. I almost asked for my money back. They held this thing on the 3rd floor of a Hotel in regular hotel rooms. I popped in to say hi to an acquaintance that works for PRS and bolted. I went there expecting a conference room with booths and such and got so far from that.
