This is the first time I see a Haar guitar outside of the Netherlands. How did you get it? Are those Suhr V60 LP pick-ups?
Yes, it´s have Suhr V60 LP pu´s, rio brazilian fingerboard, really light alder, and sounds vintage and transparent and still fat....
I believe Erik sells lots of them in Germany,
and I remember LordRiffenstein showing his latest Haar a few weeks ago, and as I remember he's from Belgium.
Btw, great guitar Sam! Enjoy!
And for me, I don't think I'll find one of Erik's under the Christmas tree, as he's still looking for a nice piece of flamed maple for the neck ..... :BEER
Wow, I didn't know Erik was so "international"...I might be paying him a visit next week.........for an new amp..:AOK
Are all of his guitars so aged as yours? Or did you ask for extra?
There's relic, and then there's beat to hell!
The case is too clean for that guitar. It just seems to me that a guitar that looks like it's been through that much would have a case that took the worst of it.
Relics are not my taste, but I can understand why they are popular. Congrats on your new instrument.
Praline; You can order anything you like, new, lightly played or a relic like this one. Check out the different guitars on www.haarguitars.nl
be prepared! last time I payed him a visit to talk guitars I walked out with a new Heritage Briton II head .........
Thank you captain Solo.
I bet it sounds amazing, my fav recipe for a strat and quite the relic job, congrats!
I've been playing with the idea of having Erik build me a relic...
Congrats. Very nice. Never heard of these, but he has some nice looking guitars on that site.
just bumping this thread as I just ordered myself a nice light aged strat from Erik. I'm excited!
I love the look of this haar, sam! How does it play? Does it have the stock specs? (oiled neck, 6105 frets, nitro body, haar trem)
Here are the specs of mine. I decided to choose different than stock:
-Light Alder body
-PLAIN Maple/Brazilian RW with 6100 frets, round C shape , haar "fat" neck, 9-12 compound radius
-Suhr V60LP pickups
I opted for a light nitro finish for the neck, and a nitro LPB aged finish, with some light relicing on the armrest/tummy cut. Also lightly aged hardware and parts. Here's what I asked Erik to make it look closely like (which is one of his past creations BTW):
Yes, it have stock specs + smell of "mojo"
Suhr V60LP pu´s is killer sounding pu´s with my slightly modded Germino.
Excellent choise, gongratulations !!
thanks sam, is that the case the guitar came with?
Yes, it came with the case.
