I'm looking at a decent guitar with a BIN. I know for a fact this guitar was actually won in a bid and then relisted. The winning bid seemed a little low (even to me) so I emailed the seller and asked what happened. He said the winner retracted their bid. So now it's up with a little higher price, but still decent.
Does it seem like anything fishy going on? This seller has 100% feedback, but only 5 sales so far. Any thoughts? I hate to say it but I guess I need to act quickly. :worried

if it's that strat that the buyer backed out at $3800, it's a fake. Notice that the truss rod end doesn't touch the slab board like it's supposed to.

    Good move! [IMG]

But seriously.......if it sounds too good it probably is. Feedback is a good thing but people can go bad at any time. I just bought a guitar off Ebay last week and got the sellers phone # and talked with him before I bid and sent $2000 off out into cyber space.

    5 feedbacks isn't enough for me. I wouldn't bid.

I have noticed that when "fishy" stuff happens that there is sometimes underhanded stuff going on. For instance a friend of the seller bidding to boost the price and interest then no bids. The seller relists it (with the price boosted)and says the buyer backed out. On the other hand, buyers flake out. It has happened to me. It really screws up an auction because folks that were watching think somethings up!

Well, I did get feedback to my question almost instantaneously via email so that helps. I went for it; I'll report back and let you know how it goes... hopefully okay.
$704 for a G&L Bluesboy shipped to my door - that's a good price on a good guitar and one that I've wanted for a while.

That seems like an average price for a used one, so I wouldn't raise any red flags on that :)

Yes, it's close. It's black on black with rosewood so it's not the most flashy, tranparent type finish. I've seen prettier ones average closer to $800 - 850 not including case and shipping. I think it's a good deal overall.

Well, I only have around 10 (including purchases) so I guess that would be the pot calling the kettle black.
