This has happened to me before…. But this is the first time with a Suhr!!

    A word of warning!!

I don’t believe this guy has this guitar…. As it belongs to ME!!

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7376541331&ru=http://search.ebay.com:80/7376541331_W0QQfkrZ1QQfromZR8QQfviZ1

There is the minor chance that it is cut from the same wood and he is confused… but I will let you judge for yourself

I love quirks in quilt….. this piece was destined to become a Suhr Std HSS… note the ‘scoops’ behing the Single coils and behind the trem. Look how the quilt perfectly follows the contours of the trem posts!! To my eyes the same guitar…. Proceed with caution!!

    Thanks

    Tim

Looks like a scam to me. Same guitar, seller joined eBay Monday and has 0 feedback. How did he get pics of your guitar?

Serial 3389 is what he claims..........is that the same as yours?

It looks like the same guitar.

I just saw the same warning over on BAM before coming back over here. I def think it's the same guitar. I suppose if the two tops were cut from the same hunk of wood they might look similar, but I doubt to the degree that they would look nearly identical. Not to mention both guitars specced exactly the same & the same color. Not very likely. That is one spectacularly figured top though & the color is beautiful. :) Go get that scammer, Tim!

Seemed to good to be true with a starting price of $900 w/ no reserve.
And I guess it was ;-)

    Beautiful guitar though.

(If it hadn't been for the 0 feedback I'd have considered a bid ;-)

I was 101% sure... but it is always worth double checking before you drag someone through the dirt!!

I have checked... The pics are stolen off the net from the previous owner. I have reported it... don't bid unless you fancy losing your hard earned!!

    Thanks guys!!

Wow...this kind of thing 'irks' me to the ends.....I just got scammed by someone selling a Cornford Hellcat Combo. I won the auction....then they didn't respond to my notes, I requested contact info from ebay, I called them to no avail.
So it was either identity theft, or someone posted an amp that sold for way less than they hoped for.....
I had this Suhr on my watch list.....i guess i will learn in time......

    THANKS for the warning----bless you!

Notice how he's made the bidder information private so no one can email the poor people that have bid and warn them. Sneaky ...

    I saw that auction tonight.
    Gorgeous guitar.
    Great price.

If it sounds to good to be true.....it is. Add in: zero feedback.
Not worth the potential heartbreak of getting f'd in the butt.

Maybe you could post a dummy auction with the same title in which you can warn potential buyers.

Looks like Ebay is going to make a decent commission on this auction. ;)

    Just to let you know...

A couple of guys are already on to it... Since the auction is still there, a $10,000 bid has been placed on it... The high bidder plans on confronting the seller about the guitar...

So to the seller I say " :moon" ...
