Mr. Clapton is on fire here. His vibrato still gives me chills. Hope you enjoy...
Whew, I need a cold shower after that one.
My brother saw them in London on their 2010 European Tour. [He did send me the show program.] EC and Winwood have been friends for a very long time. It must be great for them to tour-
Love EC and Stevie!!
I LOVE their album from MSG. They do some great renditions of Traffic, Cream, Blind Faith, Hendrix and their own tunes.
Eric is absolutely on fire here, it also makes a complete mockery of the Clapton hasn't sounded good since 197? theorists doesn't it?.
Great performance...guitar is on fire, vocals are excellent, and the rest of the band is providing great support.
It's certainly different from his take on Just One Night, which I love. I dunno, I've been a Clapton fan for as long as I can remember but the take in the OP left me a little cold.
Absolutely Right!! People love to hate, and it seems like we have more than our fair share of them on some of these guitar forums!!!
Big fat +1.
The OP posted a great song. Clapton is getting better as he ages. And I really dig his tone. Makes me want to get a Clapton Strat and one of those EC Tremoluxes.
And what's with his guitar - it changes colour from gold to blue? I want one!
Great stuff! He is getting better with age
That was cool. Thanks for posting.
Was at the MSG show, and that song got my vote for the highlight, good as the rest of it was. still gives me chills to hear.
Never saw Clapton enjoying himself as much as he was playing with Winwood.
I liked it! Actually I loved it!
I've always loved that song and this is a GREAT version
I liked it too. But I hate it when video and audio are out of sync - is this something that can be fixed, or is it a defect of the clip as it has been uploaded?
I didn't notice that it was out of sync. This performance is off the Live at MSG DVD.
The long sustained note at 5:04 is just killer.
Theres an energy when Clapton and Winwood play together that just seems to take both guys to places they dont often get to on their own.
