Has anyone played one of these?

I rock an Arcane '50 Experience tele bridge and it's awesome, super twangy and does dirty with easy and can get mean. I know Rob and Gabriel work really closely and I'm curious how different the Echopark '49 is from my Arcane '50 Experience.

Just looking for some general tonal reference on them. Any Echopark guitar players out there? :)

Interesting. I didn't know Echopark was making pickups now. I'll have to check those out. Arcane makes great pickups. I've got a set of Rob's HB sized P-90s in a Trussart Steel Deville. Smoking pickups for sure!

Well, Gabriel isn't making them per se (I don't think)...I'm not really sure how it works but he and Rob Timmons interact to some degree and Rob builds them.

I agree about Arcanes though. I'm rocking them in my Tele and LP and am quite taken with the Tele ones especially...still getting acquainted with the LP ones.

Cool. I just checked out the website. Some cool pickups there. Would love one of Gabriel's guitars someday too!

Thanks for chiming in Gabriel! I really enjoyed our talk the other day and I appreciate you taking the time.

Almost a year later and I still haven't tried one of these yet. Anyone play the '49 Proto outside of an Echopark guitar?

    One last pre thread-hibernation bump...

I guess I'll just have to pony up and do it!

...down the line when I can afford to.
