    Hi!
This is part 1 of the phrase-by-phrase videos of Ed Bickert's solo on "Just Squeeze Me".

    Hope you enjoy it!!

    ---

"Pure Bickert" is a project about transcribing all of Ed Bickert's solos on the historic "Pure Desmond" album. Not only there will be videos of me playing each solo in the most precise possible way (although it's impossible to really guarantee 100% accuracy), but also videos playing each section slowly and discussing harmony and the concept of every phrase and chord.

I sincerely hope this project helps in getting even more people exposed to truly one of the greatest jazz guitar players in history: the great Ed Bickert.

    Thanks for your interest!
    Best wishes,

    - Pedro Bellora

Love this! I've always been a huge Ed Bickert fan, and you do a great job of presenting these phrases--keep up the good work!

This is just fabulous Pedro. The best part is how obvious the joy is that you're getting from this. Now you just need to start chewing gum while you play his parts (and that's an insider Ed Bickert joke for those of you who are wondering what I'm taking about). Great job and I think I'll spend a bunch of time with this video.

Thanks a lot for your messages!!
By the way, sorry for the late reply...

It's an honor to be doing this and I'm glad that you are enjoying it.

Jim, I'll try to get the gum thing for the next videos, of course chewing on 2 and 4 and trying to swing as hard as Ed does! :)

    Thanks again for your messages!
