come on...All the vibe talk and nobody will listen to this? Is it because it's not a "big" name?
Hot damn that sounds great, but I'm pretty sure you could make a Metal Zone sound good. How would you rank it versus any of the other vibes you've played? I'm really thinking about adding it to my home rig, since it doesn't seem like it would travel so well.
Great sounds! Was this through the Ceriatone?
This was through the kingsley D50. This pedal is right up there with the best univibes I've played. It's not exactly a clone and has it's own thing going on. It sounds terrific with overdrive. It seems to retain a lot of the guitar's original tone. It's got some rotating speaker vibe to it. Reminds me of Jimi's Electric Ladyland...
Sounds so beautiful, lush and rich. I love it. I've wanted to get one for a while, so thanks for making this demo. Any idea how often the tubes will need to be swapped?
preamp tubes last for years. I'd guess 5 years minimum.
Sounds very good, Jack. Thanks for posting.
I had been waiting since January for my new Tube Vibe, and just got it last week. Phil (Phil Taylor; the guy behind Effectrode) had implemented some new design changes, and production was slower to take off than anticipated. I think there are enough new units (version 4) now that the wait time is quite short.
Cool pedal! There is a lot of complexity to the effect. I've also got to say a good word for Phil's customer service - he's committed to taking time with his customers, and is great to speak with.
by the way, the manual says the tubes should last 25 years if used 4 hours a day and allowed to warm up for 1 minute before playing.
wow, that's a LONG time... who knows if tubes will even be around in 25 years, lol!
Any chance of doing a Phase-O-Matic demo?
Sounds great Jack! I've never heard of this vibe before. thanks for doing the demo.
I'd love to. I'll see if I can get hold of one.
Jack, are you putting your OD before or after the TV? I put my OD after, takes some of the swishiness away.
od before the TV on that one.
Not sure but it sounds very sweet. From what I understand, this is not the same circuit as the other ones. It utilizes the tube to generate the oscillation and pulse and pitch variance so it's got a different vibe to it if you parden the expression.
